Louvre Abu Dhabi | The Impressionism Exhibition

The Impressionists painted real life, rebellion in every brush stroke. They turned away from kings in crowns and captured the every day. The sipping of tea, the brushing of hair, the leaning over a balcony. Is it so hard to imagine their work coming to life when it was inspired by life itself?

My Role

To announce Impressionism: Pathways to Modernity at Louvre Abu Dhabi, we developed a fully integrated campaign that reintroduced Impressionism to modern audiences through cinematic storytelling and immersive visuals. Created in partnership with Musée d'Orsay, the exhibition featured over 150 masterpieces by artists including Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Paul Cézanne.

At the heart of the campaign was a launch film that imagined iconic paintings coming to life and journeying toward the museum, transforming artworks into living characters moving through contemporary spaces. Inspired by the Impressionists’ fascination with light, movement, and everyday moments, the campaign blended painterly aesthetics with modern visual storytelling to make the exhibition feel emotionally relevant and culturally accessible today.

As Senior Art Director, I led the creative vision and execution across the entire campaign from concept development and film narrative to art direction across exhibition branding, museum signage, OOH, social, digital, and motion assets. I also oversaw the film treatment, animation, and post-production process to ensure a cohesive visual identity across all physical and digital touchpoints.
